Detective Chuck Hollis is an officer with the 13th Precinct in
Manhattan. His job is dangerous, and getting hurt is par for the course. Hospitals and needles freak him out, so any distraction is welcome, especially when it comes in the form of one sexy redhead.

Dr.Chris Blevins works the E.R. with a quiet resolve. She loves her job,and is very good at what she does. Not much gets her rattled, until she comes face to face with Detective Hollis.

Chris is accustomed to people reacting poorly to hospitals, but this guy takes the cake. His brash behavior is clearly a cover for his anxiety, but her reactions to him are what really have her concerned. She never lets a patient get under her skin, but with Chuck Hollis that is exactly what she wants and more. Chuck feels a strange connection to Chris, as though he knows her somehow. When her dog goes missing, he will pull out all the stops to help her find him, particularly if that means spending more time with her. With the holidays fast approaching,
Chuck encourages Chris to visit her family, and going with her may be
the only way to get her there. Chris is sick at the thought of losing her dog, and now she may lose Chuck as well. Taking him to meet her family is likely to spell the end of their relationship.

  "I loved this novel.  An easy-to-read story, it was erotic without being overly graphic. The romance between the two main characters built throughout the story, giving this reader the tingles at the relatively minor romantic parts.   Too often, romantic sex scenes seem to be written almost too graphically, but lack the emotional thrills that stimulate the mind.  This story made me feel like a teenager with my high school love every discussion and encounter engaged me.   A wonderfully sweet story with very likable characters, I will read this one again and again."
